Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
September 2, 2025

The meeting was called to order by President, Mikey Wiseman at 07:00 Pm.
Present were President Mikey Wiseman; 1st Vice President, Cassandra Jessie; 2nd Vice President, Shelley Sawyer; Recording Secretary, Elizabeth Bowden; Treasurer, Mark Lear; and Immediate Past President, Sheila Young.  Administrative Assistant Kati Lear joined the meeting as a guest.    

Shelley Sawyer motioned acceptance of minutes from August 5.  The motion was seconded by Cassandra Jessie and passed unanimously.  

Cassandra Jessie motioned that a meal transportation and lodging be provided to executive committee members or members in good standing participating in Tallahassee Day.  The motion was seconded by Shelley Sawyer and was unopposed.    

Cachet Wells has submitted changes to the Dolly Gamble award which would make local community businesses and individuals eligible, which now is not the case.  Mikey asked that Sheila Young speak with Cachet and request that another award be developed for this purpose.  Another suggestion would be that local chapters make presentations to those they wish to recognize.  

Visiting the hotel for the FCB 2026 convention was discussed.  It was decided that this would be done after the holidays.  

Mikey reminded us of the board meeting scheduled for Friday evening October 10 and Saturday morning October 11.  He asked that agenda suggestions be emailed to him.  

Kati Lear suggested that we have a committee chairs meeting to remind them to meet before the board meeting.

Shelley Sawyer motioned that travel expenses be paid for Sheila Young and Cassandra Jessie to attend the Jacksonville dance.  The motion was seconded by Elizabeth Bowden.  The motion passed without opposition.  

Cassandra Jessie motioned meeting adjournment.  The motion was seconded by Shelley Sawyer and was unopposed.  Meeting end time was 08:36 PM.
