Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
April 1, 2025

President Mikey Wiseman called the meeting to order on April 1, 2025 at 07:00 PM.
Present were: President Mikey Wiseman; 1st Vice President, Cassandra Jessie; 2nd Vice President, Shelley Sawyer; Recording Secretary, Elizabeth Bowden; Treasurer, Mark Lear; Membership Secretary, Sally Benjamin; and Immediate Past President, Sheila Young.
Administrative Assistant Kati Lear joined the meeting as a guest.

Old Business: Mikey Wiseman reported that the DC trip was successful.  An extra day was authorized during the trip to complete all visits.

Mikey has heard from Jeanine Lea regarding items for door prizes and goodie bags.  She stated that all her items would fit in a banker’s box.  She has not provided an inventory of items to Kati as directed.  Jeanine wants to mail the items.  Sally Benjamin motioned that we not pay for shipping of the box.  Cassandra Jessie seconded.  The motion passed unanimously.

Scholarships and Awards: Sheila Young announced that three recipients have been selected for scholarships and or awards.

The trivia community call was successful.

Membership: Sally Benjamin reported that ACB membership has been completed.

Cassandra Jessie reported that a call will be scheduled for the membership committee along with first timers.  There will be a call between membership committee and calm which will take place after the next constitution and bylaws meeting to insure calm understands wording for members at large.

New Business:  Mikey Wiseman reported that he received an email message from Pam Keezel, our book keeper regarding renewal of the paperwork for DHSMV.  There was no follow-up from Pam after the first message until one day before the paperwork needed to be completed notarized and sent in.  The paperwork was completed and sent in but has errors which will give us more time to complete it.  Mark and Mikey will contact Pam to complete forms.  Mark has been contacted by another company who may be able to replace Pam.  A Friday call will be arranged to talk to him and those who wish can also be on the call.  Cassandra and Sheila expressed interest.

An issue has also come up regarding the bank account for GOCB and a transfer of funds from it to FCB.  No representative transferred the funds, but the GOCB account seems to be attached to FCB in some way.  Sheila will go to the bank to resolve this issue.

Convention:  Jeff Bishop needs final flight arrangements for his trip home.  We have had difficulty contacting him, Sheila will work on this and complete travel arrangements for arrival on Thursday.  She will also get his meal choices.  So far approximately twelve people have registered for convention.

Sheila stated that Ryan would like to go to the hotel to begin set up on Wednesday.  Kati will contact Antonia to see when rooms assigned to us will be available for this purpose.  Sheila will contact Ryan because of concern that he will be traveling late at night going from the hotel to collect any supplies he needs to bring back on Thursday.

We discussed TV’s donated by ACB.  We have two of these which we decided to use for viewing in the ACB Media room during convention instead of screens which will be an unnecessary expense.  Sheila will ask Ryan about this as well.

First Timers:  Kati reminded us that first timer information and payments need to be started.  Information will be provided on the President’s call on April 8.

Volunteers for Convention:  Sally has had some inquiries regarding volunteers for convention.  She will coordinate with Cassandra and Mikey as well as Margaret Mosher for contacts.

Auction Donation:  Sheila Young motioned that we not provide auction items for the FCB auction.  The motion was seconded by Shelley Sawyer and had no opposition.

There was no other business to discuss.  Shelley Sawyer motioned meeting adjournment.  The motion was seconded by Sheila Young.  Meeting was adjourned at 08:09 PM.

Respectfully Submitted,
Elizabeth Bowden
