Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
May 16, 2025

President Mikey Wiseman called the meeting to order on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 04:31 PM.
Present were President Mikey Wiseman; 1st Vice President, Cassandra Jessie; 2nd Vice President, Shelley Sawyer; Recording Secretary, Elizabeth Bowden; Membership Secretary, Sally Benjamin; Treasurer, Mark Lear; and Immediate Past President, Sheila Young.  
Administrative Assistant Kati Lear was also present.

There were no minutes ready for approval.  

The only business conducted was a motion made by Sheila Young and seconded by Sally Benjamin to continue providing open bar for convention to meet food expenditure requirements for the hotel.   

Three venues will be presented to members for 2026 convention.  

Mikey has talked with the legislative committee about working on more funding for Florida.  He stated that one of the strategies for doing this is to bolster relations between all groups concerned with blindness.  This will be a goal during the coming year.

There was no further business discussed.
Sheila Young motioned that we adjourn the meeting.  The motion was seconded by Cassandra Jessie with no opposition.  The meeting was adjourned at 04:50 PM.
