Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
December 3, 2024

President Mikey Wiseman called the executive committee meeting to order at 07:02 PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
Present were President Mikey Wiseman; 1st Vice President, Cassandra Jessie; 2nd Vice President, Shelley Sawyer; Recording Secretary, Elizabeth Bowden; Treasurer, Mark Lear; and Immediate Past President, Sheila Young.  Administrative Assistant Kati Lear joined the meeting as a guest.    

Secretary’s Report: Cassandra Jessie motioned, and Sheila Young seconded approval of minutes for the executive committee meeting from November 5, 2024.  The motion was unopposed, and there were no suggested corrections. 

Everyone reviewed chapters who have turned in information.  

Mikey asked Mark Lear to report on Walmart who stated that our email is registered with the service.  Mark should complete the application tomorrow.  Mark will let us know when the process is completed.  Mark will call the bank about setting up an account for the activities committee to pay in to.  

We also talked about prospective workshops concerning services from the Department of Children and Families.  

We discussed the correspondence returned to us from the Miami Beach chapter.  It was decided that another letter along with an email should be sent.  

We discussed signature options.  Sheila Young motioned and Shelley Sawyer seconded purchase of a signature stamp.  It was decided to use a different print font for signatures instead of buying a stamp.   

Mikey attended a meeting with the Foundation Fighting Blindness.  We will be included in the information they distribute.  

Tallahassee day is scheduled for February 15.  

Our FCB donated item raised approximately $200 at the ACB Holiday Auction.  

DC leadership is coming up soon.  Any member of the executive committee can make an application to go to the event.  Any members who wish to go should inform the committee.  

The ATIA conference is scheduled for the first of the year and we will not be attending.  

Mikey has reached out to the Hyatt Altomonte hotel for convention bids.  They will contact us after the holidays.

There was no other business to discuss.
Mark Lear motioned adjournment seconded by Cassandra Jessie with no opposition.
The meeting was adjourned at 08:09 PM.
