GREATER MIAMI COUNCIL OF THE BLIND
Our chapter has only recently become active again and is beginning to plan projects that we will work on over the next several months.
We have already met with the District Director of the Division of Blind Services and, among our plans for the next few months are
included: meeting with the Director of the Office of ADA Coordination for Miami-Dade County to discuss the deployment of accessible
pedestrian signals; a meeting with election officials to discuss plans for the upcoming elections; a meeting to explore the promotion of
descriptive video in theaters, on television, and with live performances; and a report on our national convention in Louisville Kentucky.
MEETINGS
The Greater Miami Chapter is meeting on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the South Miami, Coral Gables Elks Lodge from 6:30 to
8:30 PM. It is located at 6304 Southwest 78 Street. We welcome visitors and, if you would like to be added to our mailing list, please call
