Guide Dog Users of Florida (GDUF) is an affiliate of Florida Council of the Blind; Guide Dog Users, Inc. and American Council of the Blind. Our Members receive newsletters from each of these organizations with which they can stay current on guide dog and blindness issues.
GDUF's scope consists of three major areas.
Fellowship gives our Members the opportunity to meet and associate with other guide dog users and to provide and receive peer
Counseling as needed. We hold board and membership meetings on a regular basis via teleconference. Contact any of our Officers
or Committee chairs, listed below, for information on upcoming meetings.
Education on the needs, responsibilities, rights and services available to guide dogs and guide dog users. This is directed to
the general public, governmental authorities and agencies, employers, retailers, service providers, guide dog users, and the
guide dog user's families and friends.
Advocacy assistance to our members and other guide dog users in preventing and/or resolving incidents of discrimination,
misunderstanding or violation of rights where the guide dog user's rights may have been violated.
If you would like to become a member of our organization, please complete the GDUF Membership Application.
